I never knew his music particularly well, only really his stuff with Mike Oldfield in Kevin Ayers and the Whole World. Like this one:

That is on the album of the same name.

He really was my hero (although an unlikely one) so English, idiosyncratic, surreal, wayward, posh,"sticking the finger to the man".He was real, not an act,a romantic thru and thru. And the music is for me.
There was a lot to be said for the guy and the way he lived his life. Can I be half the man oh Lord ?..

But really this is a story of two kevis :

one likes coffee
the other,well,VARIOUS !
( U know I am pulling your leg)

well I mean,this article 2008 says a lot

lived in s of france

carryed a bag of sedatives,

broke ribs in a barfight in his 60s

drove his car after two bottles of wine.

You can keep yer Keef Richards...this guy made better recuds too.
