Petra and David - Their New Year Resolutions.

Post by Space Cowboy » Mon Dec 26, 2011 2:47 pm

Mods.

Is there any chance these two (prior) members could be offered another chance to behave on here - it's that time of year 'of good will' and if they agree to conform to the Board rules, then why not give them another chance.

Their idiosyncrasies aside - they are both genuinely into the genre.

Well done SC. you are truly demonstrating the idealised spirit of christmas. I'll talk to Dixie about it but tbh, I wouldn't know how to find them even if I wanted to. Or even if they wanted to return.

Must admit I had thought of asking for them both to be given another chance in this season of goodwill.

Should a conditional amnesty be called then it should apply to everyone who has been banned in the past, should they wish to re apply for membership and should they be re appointed then it should be governed by the forum rules that apply to all members.

I am in favour of this New Year proposal and spirit behind the olive branch offered.

Should remind folks that Petra and David had already agreed to abide by forum rules when they registered. As has every other forum member. They were both reminded of this several times during their stay with us.

I haven't had chance yet to discuss this proposal with Dixie and JohnC so no decision has been taken but you can rest assured that our prime consideration will be that the forum does not regress into being "that numpty site", as it was once described.

The unanimous decision of Dixie and myself is that we will not be asking JohnC to invite them back. On this board a permanent ban is a last resort, not a first response. PJ and David have earned their bans.
