Hello from London

Post by Malc63 » Thu Jan 14, 2016 6:10 pm

Hi all - my name's Malcolm, moved down to London from NE Scotland five years ago and I'm a longtime country music fan going back to Don Williams in the early 70s. I'm a very keen guitarist - guitar heroes include Django Reinhardt, Tony Rice, Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam's producer) and Brad Paisley obviously. Currently listening to Eric Church, Easton Corbin, Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen, Josh Turner and Sarah Jarosz.

Hi Malc, welcome to the forum. Good list of guitar heroes you've got there. Do you 'play out?'

I do play gigs in London - mainly gypsy jazz and occasionally bluegrass - as well as a country/old-time session near home. Right now I have hooked up with a superb country guitarist and a great young singer with a view to playing asap. Currently writing and home recording a load of original songs.

Great. Feel free to advertise your gigs in the relevant forums.
