Hi I'm Bob Knight

I've been playing country music on and off since about 1969. I've played in a number of country band around the North and North East of Scotland; the best known of these being the Grand Canyon Band in the 70's, and "Angeleen and the Country Cousins," in the mid to late 80's. With Angeleen and the Country Cousins we won the Morecambe International Country Festival contest in 1989 (I think) It was a long time ago. :) We were also voted the best new band that year by the Scottish country music establishment. I played bass and wrote all the songs for Angeleen and the band. I'm still playing, but mostly my own songs in traditional Scottish style - which was a kind of reaction after singing in an American accent for 30+ years. Merle Haggard is still the man!!! Nice to meet y'all. :)

Hi Bob, welcome to the forum.
Country is a state of mind, not a state of America.
